Carlson Family Foundation’s Inaugural Uplifting Youth Convening

This year NVF was invited to Carlson Family Foundation’s Youth Convention held in Minneapolis, MN. Community partners and grantee partners were invited to attend the event dedicated to highlighting opportunities and challenges facing youth serving organizations. The event included networking amongst community partners and grantees, a youth panel with youth entrepreneurs and change makers, as well as breakout sessions with community presenters discussing topics such as creating youth leaders, understanding obstacles and challenges faced by youth, and advocacy for youth policies. The event provided a space for organizations such as ours that focus on youth and their development to bring forth ideas and suggestions for the betterment of the youth we serve. The sessions were informational and beneficial to the partners and grantees, and we look forward to next year’s Uplifting Youth Convening!
